Puente del Inca is a geological formation located in full Cordillera de los Andes, to 2729m on the level of the sea. It is a natural bridge formed by the action of the mineral thermal waters, with great quantity of sulphur, to it the wonderful colors owe. Formed on the Rio Caves, with waters to 35ºc, though nowadays the temperature is minor. In 1925 I construct him a luxurious hotel in which every room tape-worm his thermal bath, it was destroyed in 1965 by an avalanche. His name comes from the legend, a long before the arrival of the Spaniards. The legend tells that a great chief Inca had a child with paralysis, and any kind of healing could cure him. The sages told him that in distant lands in the south was a place of healing waters. In a caravan and exhausted after months, they came to this place, they could watch the water gushing from the ground but couldn't get it, because they were separated by a rushing river. His warriors, without hesitation, embraced each other forming a human bridge. The Inca step above with his son in arms up to the terma finding longed cure. When looking back, his warriors were petrified and constituted what is now the famous Puente of the Inca.
